Preservation Architect


We are hiring a Preservation Architect to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for the preservation and restoration of historic buildings and structures. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1800$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historic buildings and structures to determine their historical significance and current condition
- Develop preservation plans and strategies for the restoration and conservation of these buildings
- Collaborate with engineers, construction workers, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of preservation projects
- Evaluate materials and techniques used in the original construction of historic buildings to determine appropriate methods for restoration
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for preservation projects
- Document all stages of the preservation process, including before-and-after photographs, reports, and other records

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in preservation architecture or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of historical architectural styles, building materials, and construction techniques
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred:
- Prior experience working on preservation projects in Porto or Portugal
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to historic structures
