Job Title: Junior Preservation Architect in Porto, Portugal
We are excited to offer an entry-level position for a Junior Preservation Architect in Porto, Portugal. This is a great opportunity for someone without experience to gain practical skills and contribute to the preservation of historic buildings and structures in one of Europe's most beautiful cities.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior architects in conducting research and surveys of historic buildings
- Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings and reports
- Collaborate with project teams to develop preservation plans and strategies
- Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of building conditions
- Utilize digital imaging software to document and analyze building elements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of project progress
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Strong interest in historic preservation and conservation
- Knowledge of architectural design principles, materials, techniques, and construction methods
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant software programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Biometric passport (or ability to obtain one)
- Willingness to relocate to Porto, Portugal
