Preservation Architect
A well-established architecture firm in Porto is seeking a skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving historic buildings and structures, while also ensuring they meet modern building codes and standards. This is a full-time position that does not include accommodation, making it an ideal opportunity for students or individuals looking to relocate to Porto.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation measures
- Develop preservation plans and strategies that meet both aesthetic and structural requirements
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to execute preservation projects
- Ensure all preservation work meets local building codes and regulations
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues or concerns
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all preservation projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in preservation architecture
- Strong understanding of historical preservation principles, techniques, and materials
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this full-time position.

This position is based in Porto, Portugal. While we welcome applicants from any nationality, preference will be given to those already located in Porto or willing to relocate.
