Restaurant Manager in Porto, Portugal
We are searching for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service and maximizing profits. Your main duties will include managing staff, creating schedules, monitoring inventory and supplies, and maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
- Create weekly schedules for the front and back of house staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor food and beverage costs to maintain profitability.
- Train and motivate staff to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the restaurant.
- Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items or promotions.
- Manage budgets and financial planning for the restaurant.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management, budgeting, and customer service.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Portuguese is a plus).
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
- Must have legal authorization to work in Portugal.
