Sous Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant (Porto, Portugal)



We are in search of an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our team at a high-end fine dining restaurant in the beautiful city of Porto, Portugal. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef in creating and executing exceptional dishes that exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to design and develop new menu items that showcase local and seasonal ingredients
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, plating, and presentation
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to maintain consistent quality standards
- Manage inventory levels and ordering of ingredients to minimize waste and maintain budget targets
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end or fine dining restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent training from a recognized institution
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food safety regulations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor others
- Proven track record of managing costs while maintaining high-quality dishes
- Fluent in English (Portuguese is an asset)

Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
