Head Pastry Chef

As a Head Pastry Chef in our renowned bakery in Porto, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our pastry department. You will use your extensive knowledge and expertise to create delicious and visually stunning pastries, desserts, and baked goods. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing a team of skilled pastry chefs, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for developing new recipes, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry making, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. A minimum of 5 years experience as a pastry chef is required for this role.

Salary: $1400 per month.

City: Porto.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of pastry arts and techniques.
- Ability to create visually appealing pastries and desserts.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and train a team.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Creativity and innovation in recipe development.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Fluent in Portuguese (preferred).

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the pastry department including production, ordering supplies, inventory management, and quality control.
- Create new recipes that are both delicious and visually appealing.
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs on proper techniques and recipes.
- Ensure all pastries are made according to company standards with attention to detail.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients needed for production.
- Collaborate with other departments such as the bakery team to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Adhere to food safety regulations at all times.
