Executive Pastry Chef


As an Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the dessert menu at our upscale restaurant in Porto. You will lead a team of pastry chefs and bakers to produce high-quality desserts that impress our guests. Your creative flair and attention to detail will be essential in developing new and innovative desserts that complement our menu.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and update the dessert menu, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Train and supervise pastry chefs, bakers, and other kitchen staff on proper techniques and recipes
- Oversee the production of all desserts, ensuring they meet our high standards for taste, presentation, and quality
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry supplies and ingredients, placing orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, following all food safety regulations
- Collaborate with the executive chef to ensure that desserts complement the rest of the menu
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques, incorporating them into your creations
- Work closely with the front-of-house staff to provide excellent service to our guests

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- Excellent knowledge of dessert techniques, flavors, and presentation
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing new dessert recipes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Salary: $1400/month (negotiable based on experience)
