Executive Pastry Chef
We are in search of a skilled and creative Executive Pastry Chef to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As an Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and presentation of all pastry items, as well as managing the pastry team. Your main goal will be to ensure that all pastry offerings meet our high standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new pastry items that align with our concept and menu
- Prepare and present a variety of pastries, including cakes, tarts, croissants, and other desserts
- Oversee the production process to ensure consistency and quality
- Train and mentor pastry team members on techniques and recipes
- Manage inventory and ordering of all pastry ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into our offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of different baking techniques and pastry styles
- Ability to create visually appealing desserts with attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
Salary: 1500$ per month
