Job Title: Surveyor Assistant



We are a well-established surveying company based in Porto, looking for a dedicated and hardworking Surveyor Assistant to join our team. As a Surveyor Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the surveyor in conducting land surveys and collecting data using various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the surveyor in conducting land surveys by setting up equipment, taking measurements, and recording data
- Operate and maintain surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS receivers, and levels
- Collect and compile field data to be used for mapping and analysis
- Perform calculations using surveying software to determine property boundaries and topographical features
- Prepare accurate reports and maps based on collected data
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project goals are met
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on site

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Surveying or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Surveyor Assistant or similar role
- Proficient in using surveying instruments and software such as AutoCAD, Trimble, and Leica
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to perform calculations accurately
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well in a team
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs)

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1400 per month. Salary may be negotiable based on experience.

Location:
This is a full-time position located in Porto. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Portugal.
