Junior Network and Systems Administrator


As a Junior Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the organization's computer network and systems. Your primary role will be to ensure the smooth operation of all network and system components, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and provide technical support to end-users. You will work closely with the IT team to implement new technologies, maintain security protocols, and improve system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network and systems performance, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end-users.
- Perform regular backups of data to ensure data integrity.
- Stay updated on new technologies and make recommendations for improvements to the existing network infrastructure.
- Implement security measures to protect the organization's network from cyber threats.
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone or remote access tools.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience working with networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server operating systems.
- Familiarity with Active Directory management.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: 1000$
Visa Requirements: Candidates must have their own valid visa for working in Faro.
