Back-End Developer
We are seeking a talented and experienced Back-End Developer to join our dynamic team in Faro, Portugal. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding and modifying the server-side of web applications, from layout to function. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and debugging technical issues to ensure high-quality and efficient performance of our applications. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$ per month.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Front-End Developers and Web Designers to create functional and user-friendly web applications
- Write clean, efficient code using languages such as Java, C++, or Python
- Develop and maintain database structures for data storage and retrieval
- Ensure cross-platform optimization for mobile devices
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven work experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
- Experience with database design, SQL, and ORM technologies (e.g. Hibernate)
- Knowledge of web server technologies (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
- Understanding of security compliance standards (e.g. PCI-DSS)
