As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing cutting-edge machine learning algorithms and models. Your primary responsibility will be to design and build scalable machine learning systems that can handle large datasets in real-time. This position is based in Faro, Portugal and is a contract job with no accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models for various applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Design, build, and maintain scalable machine learning systems
- Conduct research and stay updated on the latest advancements in the field of machine learning
- Test, evaluate, and optimize models to ensure high performance and accuracy
- Work with large datasets to train and fine-tune machine learning models
- Troubleshoot issues related to model performance or data quality
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar role
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques and algorithms
- Familiarity with data mining techniques and tools
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Biometric passport is required for this position

Salary:
This is a contract job with a salary of 1100$ per month.

Location:
This position is based in Faro, Portugal. Candidates must have authorization to work in Portugal.
