Android Developer


We are a fast-growing mobile app development company based in Faro, seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for our clients. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $1600 per month, along with accommodation in Faro provided. This position is open to all genders and nationalities.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Android app development
- Proficient in Java and experience with Android SDK
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs such as Google Maps API or Firebase
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
