Part-Time Database Administrator

As a Part-Time Database Administrator in our company, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems. Your main duties will include troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues, ensuring data security and integrity, and optimizing database performance. You will work closely with our team of developers to ensure that our databases meet the needs of our company. This position is ideal for someone with experience in database administration looking for a part-time role in Faro.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database system performance and troubleshoot any issues
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing proper backup and recovery procedures
- Optimize database performance by conducting regular maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement new databases or changes to existing ones
- Develop and maintain documentation for all databases and related processes
- Act as the main point of contact for any database-related queries or issues

Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Database Administrator
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Familiarity with SQL programming language
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database performance issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Time-management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks

Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of data warehouse design principles

Salary: $1300 per month (part-time)
Location: Faro, Portugal
