Contract Software Tester

Our software development company in Faro is seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Software Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and experience in manual and automated testing. As a Contract Software Tester, you will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with developers to ensure high quality software releases.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in software testing
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
- Experience with manual and automated testing tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities:
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans based on project requirements
- Identify, document, and track bugs through the use of bug tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution of defects
- Conduct manual tests as well as develop automated test scripts
- Continuously improve testing processes by identifying areas for improvement or automation opportunities
- Communicate test results and progress to project stakeholders on a regular basis
