Preservation Architect - Faro, Portugal
We are currently seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, ensuring their protection and longevity for future generations to appreciate. This is a contract job with a salary of 1100$ per month.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on the history and construction of historical buildings
- Inspect and assess the current condition of historical structures
- Develop preservation plans and strategies for the restoration of historical buildings
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure proper preservation techniques are used
- Supervise restoration projects to ensure adherence to preservation plans and timelines
- Conduct regular inspections of restored structures to ensure their continued preservation
- Keep up-to-date with current preservation techniques and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Preservation Architect or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of architectural history, materials, methods, and conservation techniques
- Experience working with historical buildings and structures is highly preferred
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various professionals involved in restoration projects
