Job Title: Preservation Architect

We are seeking a talented Preservation Architect to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. This role requires a deep understanding of architectural styles and techniques, as well as the ability to work with historical materials and construction methods.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings to determine necessary preservation or restoration work
- Develop and implement preservation plans, including budgeting and project management
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
- Work with contractors and other professionals to oversee restoration projects
- Research and source historically accurate materials for restoration work
- Utilize specialized techniques to preserve or repair historical elements such as masonry, woodwork, and decorative features
- Document all preservation efforts for future reference

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in preservation architecture
- Strong knowledge of historical architecture styles and techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and architectural drawings
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
- Experience managing preservation projects from start to finish
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team

Salary: 1500$ per month without accommodation.

Location: This position is based in Faro, Portugal. The ideal candidate will have a biometric passport or be eligible to obtain one.
