Preservation Architect - Faro, Portugal



We are in search of a highly skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. This is a contract position with a salary of 1400$, and accommodation will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine their condition and preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans and strategies based on research and analysis
- Work closely with government agencies, historians, and other professionals to ensure preservation efforts meet all requirements and standards
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation projects
- Oversee the implementation of preservation projects and ensure they are carried out according to plan
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Provide guidance and support to construction teams working on preservation projects
- Maintain accurate documentation of all preservation activities for future reference

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in historic preservation or restoration projects
- Excellent knowledge of architectural design principles, construction methods, materials, and techniques used in historic buildings
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit or other relevant software
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Good communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
