Job Title: Cashier


We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team in Faro. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This position requires strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly service
- Scan items and process payments accurately using cash registers or other electronic devices
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure amounts are correct
- Resolve customer complaints or escalate them to the appropriate supervisor if necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Upsell products or services when appropriate
- Handle returns and exchanges according to company policies
- Follow all safety and security procedures while handling cash transactions
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any discrepancies

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education preferred
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role is an asset
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Basic math skills for counting money and making change accurately
- Ability to handle cash transactions quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- Proficient in using electronic devices such as cash registers, scanners, etc.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds if needed

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1300$ per month.

This position is based in Faro, Portugal.
