Part-Time Librarian
Location: Faro, Portugal


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Librarian to join our team at the Faro Public Library. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting patrons with finding and accessing information, managing library collections, and providing excellent customer service. This is a part-time position with a salary of 1600$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons in finding and accessing information and resources
- Manage library collections, including organizing, cataloging, and maintaining materials
- Provide reference services and answer questions about library resources
- Plan and implement library programs and events for all ages
- Promote the use of library services through outreach and marketing efforts
- Handle circulation tasks such as checking materials in/out, collecting fines, and issuing library cards
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the library space

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Experience working in a library setting preferred
- Knowledge of cataloging systems and electronic databases
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
