Sous Chef
We are a renowned restaurant located in the beautiful city of Faro and we are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food cost management, and ordering supplies
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure timely and efficient execution of all orders to maintain customer satisfaction
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with inventory management
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines set by the restaurant
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and knife skills
- In-depth understanding of food cost control methods
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A passion for creating delicious dishes using fresh ingredients
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month, plus tips.
