Instrument Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Faro. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various instruments and equipment used in industrial or scientific settings. Your main duties will include troubleshooting issues, calibrating instruments, and ensuring equipment is functioning properly.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician and possess a strong understanding of different types of instruments and their functions. You must also have excellent technical skills and the ability to read technical drawings and manuals. A degree or certification in a related field is preferred.
As our ideal candidate, you should be detail-oriented, able to work independently as well as part of a team, and have good problem-solving skills. You must also be physically fit as this role may involve lifting heavy equipment or working in confined spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Install new instruments according to manufacturer specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot issues with faulty instruments and make necessary repairs
- Calibrate instruments to ensure accuracy
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance performed
- Read technical drawings and manuals to understand instrument specifications
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify solutions for complex problems
- Comply with safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Instrument Technician
- Strong understanding of different types of instruments
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Physically fit for lifting heavy equipment or working in confined spaces
- Degree or certification in a related field preferred
Salary: $900 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Faro, Portugal (preference for EU citizens but not required)
