Job Title: Welder
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Faro. As a Welder, you will be responsible for using specialized equipment to fuse metal parts together, ensuring that they meet safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or project specifications to determine appropriate welding techniques
- Operate hand and power tools such as grinders, drills, and saws
- Clean and prepare surfaces for welding by removing any contaminants or debris
- Set up welding equipment according to specifications, including selecting the correct type of gas, voltage, and amperage
- Use various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding to join metal parts together
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and make any necessary repairs or adjustments
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification in welding is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Welder in a professional setting
- Proven ability to read blueprints and project specifications accurately
- Proficient in using hand and power tools associated with welding equipment
- Familiarity with different welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding
