Head Pastry Chef - Faro, Portugal


We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head Pastry Chef to oversee the production of delicious desserts and baked goods at our upscale restaurant in Faro, Portugal. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of pastry items, including cakes, pastries, breads, and other desserts. You will also be responsible for managing a team of pastry chefs and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:
- Create and execute a variety of pastry items for our restaurant menu
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
- Train and supervise a team of pastry chefs to ensure consistency in quality and presentation
- Develop new recipes and techniques to keep up with industry trends
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
- Ensure all food safety standards are followed at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menu offerings

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef or similar role (minimum 5 years)
- Culinary degree or equivalent training/education in pastry arts
- Passion for creating high-quality pastries with attention to detail
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (Portuguese language skills preferred)

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1100$ per month, based on experience and qualifications.
