Network and Systems Administrator

We are hiring a Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Almada. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. Your main duties will include installing, maintaining, and upgrading network hardware and software, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support to end-users.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software
- Monitor network performance to ensure smooth operation
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution
- Implement security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
- Perform regular backups of data to ensure data recovery in case of emergencies
- Provide technical support for end-users regarding hardware, software, or network issues
- Stay updated with new technology trends in order to suggest improvements for the network infrastructure
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of systems
- Train new employees on company's network policies and procedures

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- Proficient knowledge of network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP) and LAN/WAN networks
- Hands-on experience with common operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware)
- Knowledge of security protocols (e.g. firewalls)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Salary: $900 per month
