Junior Game Developer



We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Game Developer to join our growing team in Almada, Portugal. As a game developer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing game features, mechanics, and systems. This is a contract job with accommodation provided and visa sponsorship available for non-EU candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design team to develop game concepts and mechanics
- Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code in C++
- Implement game features such as gameplay mechanics, user interface, audio, and graphics
- Work with artists to integrate assets into the game engine
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and bugs
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in game development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Strong knowledge of C++ programming language
- Experience working with game engines such as Unity or Unreal
- Passion for video games and a strong understanding of game design principles
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing mobile games for iOS or Android platforms
- Familiarity with version control software (Git)
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Lua or Python

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1700 per month.
