We are hiring a skilled Database Administrator to join our growing team in Almada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases, ensuring their security and performance. The Database Administrator will also work closely with our IT team to troubleshoot any issues and make necessary updates to improve functionality. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1500 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and ensure data is secure and accessible
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise with the databases
- Optimize database structures for improved performance
- Collaborate with IT team to implement updates and new features as needed
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including backups and disaster recovery plans
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems, including MySQL and Oracle
- Familiarity with data security protocols and best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience working with biometric passport systems is a plus
