Job Title: Turner - Almada, Portugal



We are seeking a skilled Turner to join our team in Almada, Portugal. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to shape and form metal parts for use in manufacturing processes. This is a contract position with a salary of 1100$ per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual and computer-controlled machine tools to perform precision turning operations
- Read blueprints, sketches, or other specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to inspect finished parts for accuracy
- Adjust machine controls and change tool settings as needed to ensure quality production
- Troubleshoot issues with machines and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in machining preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating manual and computer-controlled machine tools
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using measuring instruments
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and make repairs as needed
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a manufacturing setting
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must have good communication skills in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)
