Equipment Operator


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team in Almada. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders to assist in various construction projects. You will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing the equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently according to project requirements
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including greasing, oil changes, and minor repairs
- Transport materials and supplies using heavy equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations on the job site

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Equipment Operator in the construction industry
- Knowledge of different types of heavy machinery and their functions
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans
- Physical strength to operate heavy equipment for extended periods of time
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or license in operating specific types of heavy machinery
- Experience with GPS systems on heavy equipment
- Familiarity with basic mechanical principles for troubleshooting equipment issues

Salary: 1200$ per month

Location: Almada, Portugal (accommodation provided)

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
