Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will play a crucial role in preserving and protecting historic structures and buildings in the city of Almada. You will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the restoration and conservation of these structures, ensuring that they are preserved for future generations. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical skills and an understanding of cultural heritage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historic buildings to determine their condition and necessary preservation measures
- Developing preservation plans and strategies in compliance with local regulations and guidelines
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to implement preservation projects
- Conducting research on materials and techniques used in historic construction for accurate restoration
- Overseeing the construction process to ensure compliance with preservation plans and standards
- Managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively for each project
- Maintaining accurate records of all activities related to preservation projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Preservation Architect
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and zoning laws
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural software
- Excellent communication skills to work with various stakeholders
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary of $1000 per month along with accommodation in Almada.
