Preservation Architect

We are a prestigious architecture firm in Almada, seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, while also ensuring that they meet modern functionality and safety standards. This position requires a strong understanding of historical architecture, excellent design skills, and knowledge of preservation techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historic buildings and structures to understand their original design and construction methods
- Create preservation plans that meet modern building codes while maintaining the integrity of the original structure
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that preservation projects are completed successfully
- Conduct site visits to assess the condition of historic buildings and develop strategies for restoration
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for preservation projects
- Monitor the progress of preservation projects to ensure they are completed within budget and on schedule
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in preservation techniques

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Strong understanding of historical architecture styles, materials, and construction methods
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design software
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
