Junior Accountant



We are hiring a Junior Accountant to join our team in Almada. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the financial management and accounting activities of our company. Your main duties will include maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. You should have a degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 1 year of experience in a similar role. Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in MS Excel are required. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to start their career in accounting. Salary is 1000$ per month without accommodation. Biometric passport is preferred but not required. This position is suitable for students who are able to commit to part-time work during their studies.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial records accurately and timely
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Process invoices, payments, and other accounting transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
- Assist with payroll processing and tax compliance
- Participate in month-end closing procedures
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an accountant or bookkeeper
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in MS Excel (experience with accounting software is a plus)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Biometric passport preferred but not required
