Accountant

We are in need of a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Almada. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and analyzing data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. You should possess excellent communication skills and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required for this position. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is also preferred. This is a contract position with a salary of $1000 per month.

As an Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing monthly reports
- Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with regulations
- Analyzing financial data and providing insights to management
- Preparing tax returns and ensuring timely payment
- Managing accounts payable/receivable processes
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting
- Assisting with annual budget preparation
- Identifying areas for cost reduction and implementing strategies to increase efficiency

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
