We are a well-established retail store looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team in Almada, Portugal. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly and efficient service at the checkout counter
- Scan and bag items accurately while maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions using our POS system
- Verify age-restricted purchases such as alcohol or tobacco products
- Handle customer inquiries or concerns in a professional manner
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions to assist customers with their purchases
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels when needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience in cash handling or customer service preferred
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus)
- Basic math skills with the ability to handle money accurately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1700$ per month for this contract position.
