Head Chef
We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in Almada. As the head of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for creating and executing menus, managing inventory and supplies, and maintaining food quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and diverse menus that cater to the preferences of our customers
- Oversee and guide the kitchen team in preparing and plating dishes with precision and consistency
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring compliance with health codes and regulations
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor food costs to ensure profitability
- Train new employees on proper food handling techniques and safety protocols
- Collaborate with management to establish financial goals and develop strategies to achieve them
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, flavor profiles, culinary trends, and ingredients
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Chef in a professional kitchen
Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1100 per month.
