Land Surveyor Assistant


We are in need of a Land Surveyor Assistant to join our team in Almada, Portugal. In this role, you will assist the Land Surveyor in conducting surveys and collecting data to determine property boundaries, topographical features, and other relevant information for construction or development projects.

As a Land Surveyor Assistant, your main responsibilities will include setting up and operating survey equipment, taking accurate measurements and recording data, and preparing sketches or maps based on survey results. You will also be responsible for maintaining survey equipment and ensuring its proper functioning.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong interest in land surveying, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Prior experience is not required but would be considered an asset. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, and eager to learn.

This is an entry-level position with a starting salary of $1200 per month. While accommodation is not provided, we can assist with finding suitable housing options if needed. This job is urgent and we are looking for someone who can start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Land Surveyor in conducting land surveys
- Set up survey equipment such as total stations and GPS receivers
- Take accurate measurements using various tools and techniques
- Record data accurately and neatly
- Prepare sketches or maps based on survey results
- Maintain survey equipment and ensure its proper functioning
- Follow all safety procedures while on job sites
- Work independently or as part of a team depending on the project requirements

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Strong interest in land surveying
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of survey equipment and techniques (preferred but not required)
- Physically fit to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable, organized, and eager to learn
- Fluent in Portuguese (knowledge of English is a plus)
