Milling Machine Operator
Location: Nakuru, Kenya
We are seeking a skilled Milling Machine Operator to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. The ideal candidate will have experience operating milling machines and be able to work with minimal supervision. The primary responsibility of this role is to set up and operate milling machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This includes monitoring machine performance, adjusting settings as needed, and ensuring quality control standards are met. The successful candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $1400 per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate milling machines according to blueprints and specifications
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during production
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is an asset
- Previous experience operating milling machines preferred but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Physical stamina and dexterity for standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
