Indian Cuisine Executive Chef
As an Indian Cuisine Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, cooking, and presentation of authentic Indian dishes at our restaurant in Akron. You will lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals that showcase the diverse flavors and spices of Indian cuisine. This is a seasonal position with a salary of $1200 per month.
Requirements:
- Must have experience working as an Executive Chef in an Indian restaurant or similar setting
- Extensive knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and traditional recipes
- Ability to create new and innovative dishes while maintaining authenticity
- Strong leadership skills to manage and train kitchen staff
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Create menus that showcase traditional Indian dishes as well as new and seasonal offerings
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper food handling, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
- Develop recipes and maintain consistency in taste and presentation across all dishes
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure all food is prepared according to health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience as an Executive Chef in an Indian restaurant or similar setting
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent training preferred but not required
- Strong passion for Indian cuisine with a deep understanding of its culture and history
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
