Solar Installer - St-Petersburg, Kenya


We are currently hiring a skilled Solar Installer to join our team in St-Petersburg, Kenya. As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining solar energy systems for residential and commercial buildings. Your main duties will include determining optimal panel placement, securing panels to roofs or other structures, connecting panels to electrical systems, and performing routine maintenance checks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Determine the best locations for solar panel installation based on sunlight exposure and structural integrity of the building
- Secure solar panels to roofs or other structures using bolts or screws
- Connect solar panels to electrical systems by running wires from the panels to inverters
- Install inverters and wiring equipment in designated areas according to safety codes and regulations
- Test system functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation
- Provide regular maintenance checks on existing solar energy systems, including cleaning panels and inspecting connections for signs of wear or damage
- Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance performed
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in solar technology

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in solar panel installation required; previous experience with both residential and commercial installations preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring techniques, and safety regulations
- Ability to work at elevated heights and in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients in a professional manner

Salary:
This is a contract position offering a salary of $1100 per month.
