Metal Fabricator



A metal fabricator is responsible for creating and repairing metal components and structures using a variety of tools and techniques. This job requires precision and attention to detail, as well as physical strength and stamina. The ideal candidate should have experience in welding, cutting, bending, and shaping metal materials.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Use various hand and power tools to cut, shape, weld, and fabricate metal materials
- Operate machinery such as shears, saws, presses, drills, grinders, and welders
- Measure and mark dimensions on workpieces using measuring instruments
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
- Repair damaged or defective parts using appropriate techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety protocols to avoid accidents or injuries

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a metal fabricator or similar role
- Proficient in welding techniques (MIG/TIG/stick) with the ability to read welding symbols
- Familiarity with different types of metals including steel, aluminum, copper, etc.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy machinery/tools/materials
- Attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions
- Basic math skills for measurements/calculations
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
- Knowledge of safety protocols in a workshop setting
