Preservation Architect


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Los Angeles. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, ensuring that they retain their original character while also meeting modern safety and functionality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation and restoration work
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision for the preservation project and provide expert advice on how to achieve it
- Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that preservation work is carried out safely and effectively
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
- Conduct research on historical architecture styles, materials, and techniques to inform preservation projects
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for preservation projects
- Oversee construction work to ensure that it adheres to the prescribed plans and specifications

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in historic preservation
- Extensive knowledge of historical architecture styles, materials, and techniques
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and other professionals
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal historic preservation guidelines

Salary: $1200 per month

Location: Los Angeles
