Restaurant Manager - Indian Cuisine
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Indian cuisine restaurant located in Akron. The ideal candidate should have previous managerial experience in the food and beverage industry, specifically with Indian cuisine.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, inventory, and finances
- Ensure high quality of food and service standards are maintained at all times
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Create schedules for staff and manage labor costs effectively
- Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure smooth communication and teamwork
- Handle customer complaints and ensure they are resolved promptly
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Train new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and menu items
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager in an Indian cuisine restaurant preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills in English with knowledge of Hindi or other Indian languages preferred
- Proven track record of increasing sales and profitability in a restaurant setting
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, ingredients, and dishes
- Must have own visa for employment
- Must be able to work part-time hours
