Blast Furnace Operator
As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces used for processing iron ore into molten metal. This role requires experience in the steel industry and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor blast furnaces, ensuring they are running efficiently and safely
- Adjust furnace controls to maintain desired temperature, pressure, and flow of materials
- Monitor equipment and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Load raw materials into the furnace using hoists or overhead cranes
- Monitor production levels and make adjustments as needed to meet targets
- Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment maintenance activities
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the steel industry or as a blast furnace worker is required
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with exposure to high temperatures, noise, and heavy equipment
- Knowledge of furnace operations, including temperature control, material flow, and safety procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues with equipment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Biometric passport or Canadian citizenship preferred
Working Conditions:
This position is located in Pula, Canada. The work schedule may include rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed. The role involves working in an industrial setting with exposure to high temperatures, noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1700 per month.
