Android Developer


We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team in Vilnius. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications that are user-friendly and efficient. Your primary focus will be on the development of Android applications, but you may also work on other mobile platforms as needed. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in mobile application development, with experience working on various projects and a passion for creating innovative solutions. This is a contract position with a salary of 1400$ per month, and we are open to providing visa sponsorship for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as an Android Developer
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, Kotlin/Java programming languages
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience developing for other mobile platforms (iOS)
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
