As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for creating and formatting various types of written materials, including books, newspapers, magazines, and other publications. Your attention to detail and strong understanding of typography and design will ensure that all materials are visually appealing and easy to read. This is a contract position in Akron with a salary of $1600 per month.

Requirements:
- Fluent in English
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Typesetter
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with various typesetting software and tools
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, and design principles
- Own valid visa for working in Akron
- Open to all genders

Responsibilities:
- Receive written material from editors or authors and format it according to established guidelines
- Proofread material for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors before finalizing the layout
- Collaborate with editors or designers to ensure the final product meets their expectations
- Make any necessary adjustments or corrections to the layout based on feedback received
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred
- Proficient in using Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, or other typesetting software
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high quality standards
- Excellent time-management skills
- Strong eye for detail
