Office Assistant for Busy Law Firm in Los Angeles, CA (Malayalee/Filipino Preferred)
Our busy law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a highly organized and efficient Office Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our attorneys and staff with various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors and direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Answer phone calls and take messages as needed
- Schedule appointments and maintain attorney calendars
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and other materials as requested
- File and maintain electronic and physical records
- Assist with billing and invoicing processes
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
- Perform general office duties such as photocopying, scanning, and mailing documents
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Fluency in Malayalee or Filipino preferred
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month, with potential for growth within the company. This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
