Indian Merchandiser in Mombasa (Contract)


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Indian Merchandiser to join our team in Mombasa. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the production and distribution of goods, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet quality standards. This is a contract position with a salary of 1000$ per month, with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify current trends and customer preferences
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
- Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with suppliers
- Create purchase orders and track inventory levels
- Monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Work closely with the sales team to develop effective marketing strategies
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar role
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects at once
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of market trends, consumer behavior, and product development processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
- Experience working in the retail industry or with consumer goods products
