We are seeking an experienced Foundryman to join our team in Eldoret, Kenya. As a Foundryman, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining foundry equipment to produce metal castings. Your main duties will include melting and pouring metal into molds, performing quality checks on finished products, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate foundry equipment such as furnaces, ladles, and molding machines
- Prepare molds by cleaning and coating with refractory material
- Melt metal in furnace according to specified temperatures and pouring techniques
- Pour molten metal into molds to create castings
- Remove castings from molds once cooled and perform finishing operations such as trimming, grinding, and polishing
- Inspect finished products for defects using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear at all times
- Keep work area clean and organized to ensure efficient production

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Foundryman in a similar environment
- Knowledge of different types of metals used in foundry processes
- Familiarity with operating foundry equipment such as furnaces, ladles, and molding machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform quality checks on finished products accurately
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work in a hot environment with exposure to dust, fumes, and loud noises

Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary of $1200 per month along with accommodation.
