Preservation Architect
A reputable architecture firm in Mauren is seeking a skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, ensuring they maintain their original character while also adapting to modern use. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and other architects to develop preservation plans and oversee their execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in historic preservation and possess excellent design, communication, and project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historical buildings and structures to determine their significance and identify any potential issues
- Develop preservation plans that comply with local regulations and guidelines while also meeting the needs of the client
- Oversee the execution of preservation plans, including coordinating with contractors, engineers, and other professionals
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or questions
- Collaborate with other architects to incorporate modern elements into historic buildings while preserving their original character
- Prepare reports, presentations, and drawings for clients, authorities, and other stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards, best practices, and new technologies related to historic preservation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a focus on historic preservation
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Preservation Architect or similar role
- Strong understanding of architectural history and styles
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD or SketchUp
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Salary: 1100$ per month
