Contract Librarian


We are in need of a Contract Librarian to join our team at a library in the city of Eschen. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials, as well as assisting patrons with research and locating resources. This is a contract position, meaning that it is a temporary role with a set duration.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing resources
- Develop and implement library programs and events to promote literacy and education
- Keep track of library inventory and order new materials when necessary
- Provide reference services to patrons by helping them find information
- Catalog new materials using the Dewey Decimal System or other classification systems
- Oversee volunteers or part-time staff members who may assist with library tasks

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Experience working in a library setting is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to assist patrons with their needs
- Familiarity with cataloging systems such as the Dewey Decimal System or Library of Congress Classification
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Benefits:
This is a contract position with an hourly rate of $1400. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract. The cost of visa processing and airfare will also be covered by the employer. This is an urgent position, so we are looking for someone who can start immediately.
